The election of Donald Trump as president of the United States has triggered an unprecedented wave of hate-crimes, vandalism, intimidation and violence across the nation. Those of such beliefs are now emboldened to action, and perhaps even validated in their beliefs (by their own reasoning at least). Several websites have popped up to track such activity, but most are little more than feeds and streams.
Our concern at this site is that each act may fade away in such "streams" as it ages. The goal of this site is to capture a long term database of such activity, both to insure that it is preserved lest we forget the severity of this situation, and to offer a richer dataset for subsequent analysis toward solving this serious problem.
We take little rest from Donald Trump's meager attempt to offer some public denunciation of this behavior. His campaign was built on such rhetoric and these people clearly see him as an excellent spokesman for their social and political views. Based on recent appointments to his leadership team and lack of further leadership towards quelling his supporters from abominable, and explicitly illegal, behavior, this danger cannot be dismissed simply because he makes a token condemnation, nor should we expect it to subside much merely at his simple request.
